  • London-born blonde leading lady of "B" features from the Rank School who played long-suffering women during her brief tenure in films; divorced from producer Euan Lloyd (their daughter is Rosalind Lloyd) and the widow of actor Peter Dyneley.
  • She studied for a commercial career at Clarks College but gave it up and went to RADA then joined Sidney Box's Company of youth. She made her film Debut in 1946 in 'The Years Between'. .
  • After giving birth to a baby girl she returned to the screen in Burnt Evidence (1954).
