    • Richard Häussler was born on October 26, 1908 in Munich, Germany. He was an actor and director, known for Die schöne Tölzerin (1952), Maria Ilona (1939) and Das indische Tuch (1963). He was married to Maria Andergast. He died on September 28, 1964 in Munich, Bavaria, West Germany.

  • Character actor and occasional director, first on stage from 1926 in youthful leading roles. In films from 1935, a mainstay of Bavarian Heimatfilms well into the 1950's, often in the role of well-to-do or gentlemanly professional men. Out of character, he played a gangster in the Edgar Wallace thriller L'Attaque du fourgon postal (1964).
  • To his well-known post-war movies belong "Wozzeck" (1947), "Der Bagnosträfling" (1949)and "Affäre Dreyfus" (1959).
  • The actor Richard Häussler made first experiences at the theater before he entered the film business in 1936.
  • He could continue his career after the war and he was able to prove his acting abilities in popular movies.
