An acrobat from the age of fourteen, Johnny Hutch was a skilled
tumbler, dancer, and movie stuntman who started out on the music hall
circuit performing in various knockabout comedy acts, and progressed
from there to appearance as part of a tumbling act with various
traveling circuits. A paratrooper during World War II, Johnny Hutch
performed well into his seventies; he subsequently became a comic
actor, instructor, and a stunt choreographer for theater and dance
groups.
