Sándor Hunyady(1890-1942)

Hungarian writer Sándor Hunyady was born in Kolozsvár in 1890 as a son
of popular writer Sándor Bródy. His mother was actress Margit Hunyady. After
finishing high school in Budapest, Hunyady started his career as a
journalist. He wrote many famous short stories and novels. Several of
those were made into movies, mostly in the 30s. The most popular
adaptations are Un amour du dimanche (1957) and Une nuit très morale... (1977). The most recent film based on his
short story was a TV movie, _A tigriscsíkos kutya (2001) (TV)_, directed by
Péter Bacsó).
