Bailee Madisons Show With 95% On Rt Is A Reminder To Watch This Underrated Horror Movie From 2018
Image
Bailee Madison's final girl role in Pretty Little Liars is a reminder to revisit The Strangers: Prey at Night. The 2018 horror sequel provided her with her first opportunity to play a final girl. The underrated horror sequel combines slasher thrills and 1980s atmosphere.

Bailee Madison's recent television success is a powerful reminder to revisit her early horror movie The Strangers: Prey at Night. Now 24 years old, the former child actor is known for a variety of onscreen roles beginning with a supporting part in the 2007 children's book adaptation Bridge to Terabithia. Some of her most notable titles include the comedy movies Just Go with It and Parental Guidance, the Christian summer camp musical A Week Away, and the television shows Wizards of Waverly Place (in which she played a gender-swapped version of major character Max Russo), The Fosters, and Good Witch.

However, quite a few Bailee Madison movies and...

Blu-ray Review: Don’T Be Afraid Of The Dark – Del Toro’s Stylish Horror Lacks Real Scares
With gothic horror back in vogue at the moment, it comes as no surprise that writer and producer Guillermo Del Toro, always with one eye on the zeitgeist, has chosen to remake the 1973 TV movie Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark, about a newly renovated house with a bad case of the gremlins. With the film, directed by comic book artist Troy Nixey making his debut feature released on Blu-ray and DVD this week, here is our review.

Sally Hurst (Bailee Madison), a young girl, moves to Rhode Island to live with her distant father, Alex (Guy Pearce) and his new girlfriend, Kim (Katie Holmes) in the 19th century gothic mansion they are restoring. While exploring the house, Sally starts to hear voices coming from creatures in the basement whose hidden agenda is to claim her as one of their own.

Opening in suitably shocking fashion with a short...

While exploring the sprawling estate, the young girl discovers a hidden basement, undisturbed since the strange disappearance of the mansion’s builder a century ago. When Sally unwittingly lets loose a race of ancient, dark-dwelling creatures who conspire to drag her down into the mysterious house’s bottomless depths, she must convince Alex and Kim that it’s not a fantasy—before...

New Posters: Uncensored ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo,’ ‘Conan’ Character Images, and More
Rose McGowan, Stephen Lang, Jason Momoa, and Rachel Nichols in Conan (2011)
A whole boatload of posters has arrived on internet shores in the past few days, so lets start with today's big one: the uncensored, definitely not safe for work version of the one-sheet for David Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. This one is pretty much internet link-bait and not much more, because it will likely never go up in any Us movie theater. And, truth be told, while I admire the boldness of the poster, I like the slightly censored versions [1] much more. Decide for yourself after the break, where we'll also present Conan the Barbarian character posters and one-sheets for Don't Be Afraid of the Dark and the reissue of Rainer Werner Fassbinder's World on a Wire. Update: Just as this went live, a new one-sheet for The Three Musketeers arrived via Yahoo [2]. That's been added to the gallery below. [gallery columns="2"] The five new character posters...

‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark’ Trailer
Even though it’s coming out in less than three months, it feels like we’ve seen almost nothing from Don‘t Be Afraid of the Dark. Starring Guy Pearce, Katie Holmes and Bailee Madison, it’s a remake of a 70′s TV horror film of the same name, and it has a considerable amount of buzz behind it, in spite of no real marketing. There was a wonderfully effective teaser that hit back in early August (when we thought the movie would be released in January), and that’s pretty much been it on the publicity side of things. Alright, that poster we got was pretty nice, but sometimes you need a little more.

“More” has thankfully shown up, as a full trailer has been released on Yahoo! It does what all trailers – particularly those for horror or comedy – should do, as it manages to sell the movie, while not giving away too much.
