Brad Hunt is a veteran film and television actor known for emotionally raw, unpredictable performances and a career rooted in independent and character-driven cinema. Recognized by peers and filmmakers as one of the most versatile character actors working today, Hunt continues to challenge expectations with roles that combine restraint, depth, and danger.
He earned breakout recognition for his lead role in Dream with the Fishes (Sundance), the first of three collaborations with writer-director Finn Taylor, who later cast him in Cherish (opposite Robin Tunney and Tim Blake Nelson) and The Darwin Awards (with David Arquette). Hunt's credits include Magnolia (directed by Paul Thomas Anderson), Blow (opposite Johnny Depp), Hart's War, The Tripper, and Cookers, for which he won Best Actor at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival. He played the lead in the indie Western The Journeyman and starred in Favorite Son, produced by longtime friend and collaborator Louis Herthum (Westworld), who also played the title role. Hunt was most recently seen in the indie drama Alex/October and served as executive producer on Three Headed Beast (Tribeca Film Festival). In 2019, he appeared in Nicolas Winding Refn's Amazon Prime series Too Old to Die Young, with Refn publicly praising Hunt's Episode 5 performance - later selected to screen at Cannes.
