Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke is reportedly planning to sue Celebrity Big Brother bosses following his removal from the U.K. version of the reality TV series. His six-day stint on the show came to an abrupt end after his behavior during a heated verbal altercation with fellow housemate and Love Island star Chris Hughes was deemed "unacceptable." The decision was made for Rourke to have his appearance on the series cut short because he did not adhere to the rules set out before entering the house, but the 72-year-old actor is now said to be exploring legal action.
According to TMZ, Rourke is eyeing a lawsuit against ITV, the studio behind Celebrity Big Brother, after being "unjustly denied a major payday." The actor was rumored to be receiving a fee of £500,000 for his appearance, making him the highest-paid CBB contestant on this year's show, but he is now expected to...

Celebrity Big Brother UK did not go well for actor Mickey Rourke.
A new season began on April 7, and that actor was part of the Series 24 cast.
Rourke has had a long career in film, including starring roles in Sin City, The Wrestler, Iron Man 2, 9 1/2 Weeks, and The Expendables.
His stay in the Big Brother house in the UK may put a black mark on his future career aspirations.
Rourke was one of 13 people invited to play on Celebrity Big Brother UK this spring. He joined singer JoJo Siwa, TV and radio presenter Angellica Bell, actress and comedian Donna Preston, and nine other celebrities.
Politician Michael Fabricant was the first person evicted, but Rourke was soon out the door next, lasting only six days after a controversial stay.

Mickey Rourke's reality TV debut on Celebrity Big Brother did not last long and proved highly controversial. The producers asked the actor to leave for his offensive remarks and combative attitude, and on April 12, it was announced that he had exited the Big Brother house.
As for what went wrong? Everything from the beginning, as Rourke entered the house, he started having disagreements with other cast members. This includes a statement he made to JoJo Siwa, which many believed was homophobic, an argument with Chris Hughes, and "inappropriate sexual language" toward Ella Rae Wise. But why was Rourke willing to risk his reputation by going on the show in the first place?

Actor Mickey Rourke appeared unrecognizable to fans on Sunday when he posted a snap of his new hair – or toupee.
Rourke, 71, signed up for the British reality show Celebrity Big Brother. Celebrating his last night before the show started, the actor went out with friends for dinner and posted a snap in which he flaunted fresh chin-length mahogany-colored hair.
Rourke captioned the photo, which featured him and his friends in the capital, “In London at the moment with Liam “Kid” Vaughan and his brother Ryan Vaughan. Liverpool strong.”
The actor has become well known for his multiple plastic surgeries, which have given him an increasingly odd appearance.
Rourke is being paid $5 million to appear on the reality show.
Making his on-screen debut in 1979, Rourke starred in several ‘80s movies, including Year of the Dragon, Francesco and 9 1/2 Weeks. In the early ‘90s, Rourke became a professional boxer, fighting as a light heavyweight.

Mickey Rourke has put himself in danger of getting kicked out of the Celebrity Big Brother UK house after using offensive language towards JoJo Siwa. The former Dancing With the Stars contestant overheard Rourke making a homophobic comment about them after they shared that they like girls and have a non-binary partner. “I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick,” Rourke told Chris Hughes. Siwa made sure he knew they overheard and jumped in to let Rourke know, “That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning.” Things only got more uncomfortable from there when Rourke said, “I need a f*g.” He gestured to Siwa as he made the comment and insisted, “I’m not talking to you.” Hughes reprimanded Rourke for using that word and the former boxer said, “I was talking about a cigarette.” Siwa was noticeably upset after the conversation, and it led Big Brother...

As the superb Ian Stirling would say, "Welcome back to Love Island." It's time to return to Fiji and Mallorca's beaches as new Love Island UK and Love Island USA seasons have been released. The growing dating reality show has become a fan-favorite in recent years and has created many spinoffs in different countries and new spinoffs like Love Island Games and Love Island All-Stars. Even though the dating show has not had some success with its recent winners, it has shown it can create amazing couples that have been able to last the ultimate test of the "real world." Besides creating romantic relationships, it has also created iconic friendships that many viewers have grown to love, like Kem Centinay and Chris Hughes and Kaz Kamwi and Liberty Poole, who have also experienced their friendships in the outside world and have become closer thanks to them all meeting on the show.

It wasn’t all that long ago that a billionaire buying a storied news publication was a sign of hope and optimism. After all, they had money to lose, and they earned their fortunes by creating something new. Maybe they could figure out how to make media work?
And what about private equity? It’s an industry premised on turnarounds: acquiring underperforming companies, reimagining them and making them succeed.
Or the classic family-owned publication: Keeping a business in the family with no goal of excessive profits, just a certain amount of stability to keep the legacy alive.
Unfortunately, it seems, no category of owner appears able to salvage a media business in decline, with business models still stuck in the past (programmatic, anyone?) and editorial models built for a world before Facebook, TikTok and artificial intelligence.
The media sector is facing a crisis unlike anything seen since the 2008 financial mess,...

The first trailer has been unveiled for Cannes, Emmy and Peabody-winning director Marc Levin’s documentary “It’s Basic,” which will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival.
The film examines several pilot programs launched in the U.S. that test the effects of giving everyday people an extra $500 to $1,000 monthly, with no strings attached. It aims to present an unbiased account of the benefits, criticisms, and outcomes of providing unconditional money to people in need, and examines whether Basic Income pilot programs eradicate child poverty and level the racial playing field through community-centric solutions.
The documentary features commentary by Michael Tubbs, the founder of Mayors for Guaranteed Income. At 26, Tubbs became mayor of Stockton, California. Under his stewardship, the city saw a 40% drop in homicides in 2018 and 2019, led the state in the decline of officer-involved shootings in 2019, was named the second most financially healthy city in California and...

Eggheads fans will be excited to see one of the original stars return for the 2,000th episode.
The long-running quiz show, which began in 2003, is set to broadcast its milestone episode on Wednesday (22 March).
Eggheads started on BBC Two in 2003, before moving to Channel 5 in 2021 with host Jeremy Vine, who has hosted since 2008. More than 70,000 questions have been asked across the past 24 series.
The show sees a team of contestants pitted against specialist quizzers, who are general knowledge experts.
Fan-favourite star Judith Keppel left the series in 2022 after 19 years on the panel.
However, the 80-year-old will return for the anniversary episode, telling Pa: “It’s amazing. It’s lovely to be able to be doing that. Eggheads obviously has been a great success over the years because we’ve gone on such a long time.”
She said of the show’s success: “I think people love bringing teams.
