Prisoners was the most dark, haunting, disturbing movie I have seen all year. I could not take my eyes off of it for a second. The most intense and emotional film of the year is wrapped in crisp cinematography and some of the best ensemble acting all year, especially Jake Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis. Amazing movie, definitely check this one out. A+

    DirectorFrancis LawrenceStarsJennifer LawrenceJosh HutchersonLiam Hemsworth
The next chapter in one of my favorite sagas could not have been anymore perfect. As my favorite book from the series, this movie delivered in a faithful manner and brought so much more. Jennifer Lawrence of course is outstanding in the role of Katniss Everdeen. She truly gets into the perspective of this emotional character and delivers one of the best performances of the year. If The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 & 2 are as amazing as The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, this will have been the best saga of ALL TIME. A+

    DirectorPaul GreengrassStarsTom HanksBarkhad AbdiBarkhad Abdirahman
Captain Phillips is one of the most intense action thrillers of the year. Not only is the story enough to put you on the edge of your seat, but the gravity and depth of the performances of Tom Hanks and Barkhad Abdi (who I believe deserves the Oscar for Supporting Actor) are fully immersive and believeable. This was the most overlooked film during the Awards Season, and it deserved much more recognition. A
