I just binged the series and growing up watching the NFL since the 60s, this was a very special thing to watch.
The dynamic of Jerry Jones and what he did to not only make the Cowboys the upper echelon of teams, but also the NFL into an unstoppable powerhouse of the sports world, was extremely interesting to watch.
Watching the Cowboys go from worst to first was something amazing to observe. What a collection of insanely tainted talent that team had and Jimmy Johnson was the perfect coach to keep them at bay.
This series was a case study of how egos can take something perfect and completely destroy it because of pettiness. It really would have been interesting to see how many more potential Superbowls could have been won if they stayed together.
The interviews with the star players, particularly Michael Irvin, were conducted so well and you could feel the emotion from every one of them. Irvin was the epitome of a top tier athlete completely taking advantage of their status to do as many irresponsible things they could possibly do. As much as you may want to yell at how stupid they are, you must realize that they are in a completely different world than you and I. This series gives you a pretty great view of what it is.
Give it a watch.

This show, the fact that it got green lit and actually had 53 episodes made, just goes to show how completely simpleminded the average viewer truly is.
Today, I was watching college football and flipping channels during breaks and I see that Yellowstone is on. I actually stop and watch every few times because it never ceases to amaze me at how bad it is.
What happened in this episode just takes the cake. An abdominal surgery takes place in a veterinarian trailer on a human without any preparation or sterilization protocol and no infection is anywhere to be seen. Not only that, the gruff and rough Kevin Costner continues on as if his abdominal wall was torn apart like a Thanksgiving turkey by Helen Keller.
Now, I know I can bypass the channel and spare myself from this tripe(no pun intended) and I know it's going to do nothing but annoy me when I watch it, but sometimes I just have to stop and and watch what attracts people to a show like this. It actually explains the state of the average mind in America and it's no wonder why we are going down in flames sooner than later.
My God, what a horrible show this is.

It's a classic sports movie.
What makes this movie such a timeless sports classic is that you find yourself identifying with someone on that team and watching them progress to their fairytale ending, you feel that ride along with them.
The characters are predictable and even knowing how it's going to go, you are pleasantly happy that it went the way it did.
This is a movie I will always stop and watch when it's on and I always feel the same way after watching it: Satisfied.
