It is a film that definitely feels Indie and still a bit on the amateur side from the direction, but it is worth the watch if you're interested in a gay romance movie.
What makes it work is that it is actually a nice story and Jayme McCabe does well in it considering he is given very little to work with.
The film needed a little more character development and tweaking on the direction, but for what is offered it works and is a sweet film.

I am a U. S. citizen, but have discovered this series on an international streaming service. My research has shown that there were/are numerous seasons of this show, 'About Him.' Each season is apparently a different story and cast.
I have only seen and am writing about this specific season, 'A South African Love Letter.' While it follows the relationship and 'Soap Opera' of this specific cast set in South Africa, it is more than just that because it exposes you to the real life struggles of the LGBT culture that exists in that country. It offers a new perspective that makes it an important show. Kudos to Signal23 for producing such a fresh series that is needed.
Hopefully, I will get to see the other seasons of this show on streaming and may they be as good.
Recommend for 18+ only for nudity, adult themes, violence, and sexual situations.

A strange sort of thriller. There were some clumsy directing choices, but overall a unique twisted story of bad choices and the tension of trying to cope with those horrific choices. Jenna Malone is always great to see in a film. Jose Colon also deserves credit for taking on a physically bold role. Most actors would shy away from such a role.
I am aware that is a vague review, but I do not want to add spoilers.
Recommended for 18+ only, as it does have some graphic full nudity and adult themes.
A few stars removed for the actor chosen for the third act scenes, some sloppy directing, and the ending that didn't really fit the dark story. In addition, it felt like there were some holes in the plot.
