This has been on my watchlist for pretty much the last 25 years so it was about time I got around to it! Because it's been out for so long I was cautious in keeping my expectations in check, but because it is a classic hit from Steven Soderbergh I was still excited to watch it. In the end, it did not disappoint, it's very well done and I think it really does justice to the real life events it's inspired from (I love the little cameo from the real Erin Brockovich). But watching it now, it does feel like a lot of other movies with similar themes and vibes so it's hard for me to find it exceptional in any way. Still, a strong recommended watch from me, even if it's 25 years late!

I like dogs, and I absolutely love my pup to death. So I was pretty excited to watch this, thinking it would be an in-depth view into the latest scientific research that is surrounding dogs behavior, psychology, etc. But alas, they only barely scratch the surface on these topics and instead the core of this documentary is to show how service dogs are trained. It's fairly well done, has some heart and decently interesting information but there is nothing groundbreaking or innovative about it. So I was a bit disappointed because of my expectations going in. But if you know before you go, and you like dogs, this is fairly enjoyable.

I think what really worked with the first one was how unexpected everything was. This sequel is definitely just more of the same but cranked up a bit but I am not necessarily saying that in a bad way because it's still very well done in all aspects. Just don't expect anything too original here, they stuck to their working formula. So all in all it's still a very fun and entertaining action movie and if that is what you know to expect going in then you'll have a good time. So I recommend it for any fans of this genre. Also I think John Bernthal is a good actor so it's a bit of a shame he seems to be getting typecast to the same character lately (even though he is perfect for it).
