Let's see. Australian actors, a christmas movie shot in Australia, pretending they are Americans in Vermont, what could go wrong...

The story line is super naivë. Fostering dogs as an impulse, a veterinarian letting complete novice to handle their adoption. Scenery is all plastic trees, real trees next to road painted white (but all the further ones are not), fake snowfall and so clearly shot in front of green screens. Made by someone who has never seen snow? Acting is not that great. There's no chemistry anywhere.

They could just have added more dog scenes to make it cuter, it might have saved a lot.

It feels like Hallmark gets the best christmas movies and the others get the leftovers.

I loved Julia Roberts and George Clooney in the 90s. I loved every romantic comedy they were starring. This, how ever, is not the 90s romantic comedy quality.

Hallmark and other channels have mastered the romantic comedy formula so well, that big studios can't bring nothing new to the game. Big studios with theatre releases rely on star power, who are too comfortable with their previous success that they don't really put any effort to find the chemistry between the characters. Studios, use your money better and hire newer stars!

Movie had some funny parts, but mostly it was just boring. Billie Lourd was there for the funny and supportive best friend, but she could have been so much more.

If movie is made with bigger stars, make sure that they are willing to make fools of themselves, posing is not enough.

Sports Night show should have been a drama instead of comedy. Ingore the laugh track and it changes from average comedy to fast pace quality drama, like Sorkins later creations. It has same energy as walk and talks in hallways from West Wing and same behind the camera action as in Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip and The Newsroom, which everyone should watch if they liked this show even a bit.

It is a little bit out dated to watch 25 years after it began in context of work place behaviour, how to deal with sexual harassment and assault etc., but also a great example how badly issues were handled.
