Last of Us: Left Behind was one of the best DLCs out there. I loved how they were able to explore Ellie's backstory it made her even more of a tragic character. That is one thing the game series is perfect at their characters. Switching between the past and present is done very smoothly and gives you enough to do on both parts of the game. The mini games in the DLC are simple and fun it makes you forget about the grim world that the developers created. This really added more depth to the story which was great. Overall it was a great addition to the Last of Us franchise and it will keep you engaged through the whole game.
Marvel made the worst villain and I don't mean High Evolutionary sucked I mean he was the best worst villain literally 2 seconds into the movie you already hate his guts! Amazing send off for the guardians of the galaxy I'm sensing a pattern with post endgame marvel every Other movie will be good and this was top tier. I do want more of Adam warlock, overall it was one of the best since endgame! Rocket is a bad A! His origin is one of the saddest if not the saddest in comic book history the soundtrack was as usual great. Sad to see this team go but I'm glad it ended like it did It would have been awesome if Howard the Duck joined in the final fight but let's hope we see more of that guy. James Gunn is the best director in the MCU and guardians is the best marvel franchise ever.
Going into this movie I did not know what to expect, and that was a good thing because it made this movie a whole lot more enjoyable. Every scene had really creative jokes and gags there was not one single joke that did not land which is something lots of comedies cannot do. The acting was great and so was the story I love just how random everything was in this movie. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's cameo was one of the best gags! Overall this movie is one of the funniest ever made and one of the most quotable for sure. The flashbacks were okay and dragged the story a little bit but I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a good laugh.
Jason Bourne is a really good spy film. It's plot is unique and sets it apart from other great movies like Mission Impossible. Matt Damon who I thought would not be great in a role like this, did a really great job as the title character. It answers a lot of questions but leaves the door open for more which is great. The editing was okay very early 2000's with the cutting to different parts and showing computer screens, the action was really good and the acting was great as well. I think this is one of the best spy films out there and I wish there were more movies like this one being produced.
Look I wanted to like the game I loved the previous game "Oblivion" but this game isn't great. It's super buggy I couldn't finish a mission because the dragon wouldn't show up I tried over and over again but to no avail you would think Skyrim developers would fix that in the remastered version but nope. The game also drags on with each mission requiring you to travel halfway across the map to get one item it definitely is one of the most overrated games of all time. The magic is annoying you have to draw your weapon every time you want to use it. I can understand why some like this game but it just wasn't for me.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the greatest games ever made! On the same level of Last of Us! Arthur Morgan is such a good character and one of the most tragic for sure! The developers do a great job at making Micah Bell one of the most hated characters of all time! The story starts off slow of course but it quickly gets better as you progress. The world building is incredible with every town having its own unique design! Also the honor system in the game where you can make Arthur good or bad really adds to the game as different cut scenes will play out differently depriving on your choices! Definitely one of the best.
Transformers 2007 is where the movie franchise should have began and ended it had the makings of a good stand alone film but money clearly motivated Michael Bay. That being said this movie is really good sure they changed all the designs for everyone's favorite alien robots but the CGI was really well done for them and they looked really cool. The actors did fine with what they had to work with and that's okay it is still a good movie. Overall I think they should have stuck with the G1 designs because those are what most fans are familiar with but we got that with Bumblebee so I can't complain too much over all good entertainment.
Pirates of the Caribbean is the definition of a timeless movie, you can watch it a million times and it will never get old. The acting is phenomenal Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow really carries this movie and I think that is what makes it so good, also the soundtrack is fantastic one of the best of all time. Captain Barbosa is one of the best movie villains he is clearly evil and has a clear desire to achieve. The visuals are really good for their time the CGI skeletons look super real and that is saying a lot since this came out during the early days of CGI. This movie has it all action, humor and heart.
The Godfather is one of if not the most perfect movie ever made. The acting is phenomenal Marlon Brando and Al Pacino deserve the highest praise for their roles in this movie. The story is a bit slow at first there is a lot going on in the begining but it soon speeds up and get really exciting. Some of the best quotes are from this movie and some of the best scenes too. What is crazy about this movie is 50 years later it is still relevant and is still just as popular as it was back in 1972. The movie is timeless and will never not be popular. The score is also amazing here the theme song is so good as well.
Dog movies are something of a mystery they aren't consistent in their quality some are really good and some are really bad (I'm talking about you AirBud) This movie however is really good like excellent. I think having dogs as the main characters in a modern world opens a new viewpoint that we can miss and Art of Racing in the Rain portrays this new way of looking at life perfectly Enzo is probably one of the best dog characters in cinematic history and Milo Ventimigila and Amanda Seyfried do a great job as Enzo's owners. It is emotionally exhausting and will have you crying in the beginning, middle, and end. Which makes it more memorable. Best part it is very accurate to the movie so that makes it even better.
Seinfeld is simply brilliant! It is a show that should have never worked due to the plot of it being a show about nothing but it worked this series proved that you don't need character arcs to be successful. What is great about this series is they make fun of almost everything and they do it so well that it doesn't sound like a bad joke. The first two seasons are rough and the final is a bit of a disappointment but that is a small portion of the show. There are tons of quotes that can be applied in any situation. The actors truly are just having fun with the show and you can tell as they portray their characters and have them go through crazy storylines.
This movie did not stand up to the hype that was built by DC and the fans of the DCEU. The 4 hour runtime is felt and it dragged a lot they could have still trimmed it by a hour and it would have still been okay. It is a improvement from the Joss Whedon version but that really isn't saying much. Darkseid was cool but I felt like he was crammed in there like Joker just for fan service. It was entertaining I'll give it that but overall it was still mediocre compared to other superhero movies. Maybe I am suffering from superhero burnout like everyone else finally and Zach Snyder's Justice League is just a victim of that.
Avatar while visually stunning brings nothing new to the table. The plot is similar to Ferngully and Dances with wolves. The movie is slow and boring Jake Sully is a terrible character. The soundtrack is not great the villain is also really bad. It felt like the villain was the common military leader who has malicious intent which I feel like we see a lot in movies these days. It boggles my mind that they want to make a huge franchise off of this joke of a movie the only reason it made so much money was because of the visuals but if you look past that you just have a terrible movie that's a one trick pony. It brings nothing new to the table.
This movie was a huge surprise I loved every second of the story! I think all the actors did great in their roles, the story was really creative and was portrayed really well. I did not expect much from this movie since first it was a remake, and two it was from a streaming service and in my experience streaming service movies aren't the best. However it was able to break expectations and quickly became one of my all time favorites. I think the soundtrack went well with the tone of the film and I loved the focus on family which is something we don't see often these days in the movie industry all in all a great feel good movie.
Man what can I say about this movie! It was so good! I was a bit hesitant with it first just because of the runtime of it being two and a half hours I thought it would be a slow burn movie poorly paced, however this movie was very well paced and it did not feel like a super long movie. Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal shined in their roles as two different men with two different forms of justice. Paul Dano did a great job too as Alex he portrayed the mentally disabled character wonderfully! The script writer did a great job building mystery and suspense it also did great brining all the plot points together to make a great ending to a fantastic movie.
