Love this new show. After the first episode I thought it was really funny and maybe it's a fluke so I thought let's give it a second round. Sure enough it is fantastic!
I feel like there's a bit of acting going on though, like some of these things that were pretty big news stories during the week I feel like Amber would have known about and she acts like she hadn't heard it. That said she's crazy funny. Like even when I think she's faking it and she's full of poop, she delivers her stuff spot on funny.
Michael is clearly well informed. He seems to actually know the answers to most questions but can still manage good jokes out of it. Roy does an amazing job hosting always has me laughing. What's crazy is they take all the jokes from the entire week worth of news and create new content. That's harder than you think considering all the different shows out there making jokes about the same exact topics (looking at you late night shows) and for them to come in and put together original jokes that hit is quite impressive.

And by that title, I mean it wasn't good. It's like he tried to take topics other comics handled well and thought if I yell about it maybe people will laugh. As an example - both Gillis and Chappelle go head first into topics that's are touchy for some but it doesn't matter like at all, because they know how to be be funny. Joe is better at just talking endlessly about the same topics like conspiracies and UFOs and stuff for 3 hrs straight. That's his real bread and butter. It's not like he was ever a good stand up. He didn't need to and probably shouldn't have done this.
I think this goes to show you what practicing your material in front of chuckle funkers and sycophants will get you... they'll laugh at all your stuff and you'll get the wrong idea that you're funny
Stick to the podcast Joe, let's hear about the UFOs or that pilot or whatever for the 724th time.

I like Patton Oswalt but he can't make a 100 fake smiling laughing people interesting. There is a ridiculous amount of filler asking the contestants "get to know you" questions. They are randos - I don't care to know them. Every question just drags out to the point where I just fast forward in between each question. Patton isn't funny enough to carry this if this is the format they are sticking with.
Password, another recent gameshow in comparison is filled with laughs and good times. This is just people smiling, fake laughs (password too) and bad conversation.
The questions and concept of show seem fine, it's just not entertaining.
