A good mix of action, adventure and comedy. I liked the script, but would have preferred if they followed the comic at least a little closer. Still, this version worked okay. Smart solutions to some problems. Quite a few scenes with funny moments, without it turning overly silly. Some drama scenes that felt very touching. Most of the action scenes felt good and well produced. The movie felt immersive, interesting and had very few slow parts. However, it took a long time to get to the final threat and that part was over quite quickly. Overall I was happy with the movie but even though Ezra Miller tried his best, he still doesn't feel right as Flash. I don't like when they portray Flash as clumsy, socially awkward and inexperienced. Grant Gustin (TV series Flash) would have been better for the role.
First off: I'm a huge fan of superhero movies in general and I like both Marvel and DC, so this is not a case of taking sides or comparing with the content from the other company.
I've liked most Marvel movies so having to admit that Ant-Man 3 was underwhelming is hard for me. I looked forward to it a lot but it just didn't fulfill my expectations, especially since I enjoyed the first two Ant-Man movies.
I felt the plot was weak and quite weird. Something of an explanation just to introduce the concept of Kang the Conqueror. That guy definitely needed a better introduction and story, he was just too anonymous here even though I know him from the comics. They didn't succeed here.
Also, the actors that played Cassie and Kang felt bad compared to the other actors.
I had high hopes for the other villain (no spoilers here), but sadly they made him more of a joke and wasted his potential. In the comics he's a powerful opponent but here the director just wasted him. Bad character portrait, big disappointment.
The movie definitely had cool moments and effects but overall it just didn't contribute much worth to the MCU except introducing an upcoming threat.

Maybe I have weird humor but I plowed through this whole series in just one afternoon (easily done since it's just 4.5 hours in total) and I just laughed way more than I have done in years! The characters are interesting and you quickly get attached to them. The script is funny and strange but captivating, the actors do a marvelous job and everything feels very natural and somehow it all makes sense, yet the humor is weirdly absurd and just plain bonkers and I LOVE it! It's an ordinary story about a girl trying to find her place in the crazy world. In-between the constant jokes and absurdity there is also lots of sincerity and serious, touching scenes. I was both entertained and deeply moved by it all.
Also, the pace is quite fast. I felt that each episode contained so MANY things, hardly anything feels like a boring transport between things. It's a rollercoaster and I'm so up for it.
So why don't I give this show a 10? Well, it was only 9 episodes for 30 minutes each. I DEMAND more of this. Now. Or even yesterday. Waiting impatiently for season 2 now and I will be kicking and screaming and shouting obscene profanities if they don't make season 2. I need more of this.
