I cannot even begin counting the things in this movie that didn't make sense or were ridiculous. One needs to be blind to not see at least 3 things that are stupid in the whole plot. How, how did this get greenlit???
It felt rushed, it felt superficial, it was full of tropes and cliches. You have the chosen one, that is special for no good reason, you have a rebellion leader that is literally a child.. the enemy conveniently doesn't attack or doesn't get to the "good guys" when the plot asks for it, you have a romance that seemingly develops in like 3 days, etc etc.
Very childish, very weak story, could've been a limited series at least to try and develop the plot and characters more...

And also, this is not horror. It's just cultish, obsessive religion. Not worth watching honestly.
Without giving spoilers, the characters are annoying. The decision to simply adopt those pretty big kids from a convent without getting to know them first, dumb. The movie can be sooo slow at times. The stuff happening towards the end of the movie has so much filler it's unbelievably annoying. I had to keep skipping because I did not muster the patience for it. And finally the ending is completely "wtf?".
No substance. Just a whole bunch of religious bible passages spewed and actions justified by them. The parents find the behaviors of the kids completely normal apparently since they keep finding excuses for them. Red flags flying furiously all around the screen but nah they just a little weird and doing kid stuff. Honestly it barely was a quarter into the movie and I was fed up with the parents. Such unpleasant characters. Not rooting for them at all.
The two kid actors are cute tho. About one of the only positives.

The main villain's storyline in season 4 is dragging already way too much. It's not credible anymore even in a world where planes come back to life 5 and a half years later. The "heroes" of the show are acting like they have dementia, like they never learn anything from the past experiences. Is someone secretly holding a gun to their heads? Because they always just do the bare minimum when it comes to make sure the bad guy is put away. In fact, not even the bare minimum. No, they straight up give them a free pass, get out of jail free card. I get wanting to create suspense but suspense has a veeeery thin demarcation line between itself and frustration! When you find yourself purely mad and exasperated at the decisions the characters make, then you know the writing is going bad. Needless to say the finale of the season 4 left me with a bitter taste. Literally any other plot twist or explanation they could've used besides the one they actually went with and it would've been better. At this point I think some actors start having other obligations with other projects and the producers are doing a very bad job at sending them away. Oh and that one character that returns and haven't been around for like 2 seasons? Unnecessary and weird. Just another bunch of filler scenes that are completely random and not fitting with the context. Disappointing. I would also like to comment that some "action-like" episodes this season and the past one were kinda weird, like they were from a whole different show but whatever, I frankly don't even remember what they were about, just remember my feeling about them.
I'll probably still watch season 5 but I'm glad it's the last one because there's no salvaging of the show at this point with the directions they took (p.s. Way too much religion bs, starts to creep me out because I'm afraid the writers might actually be religious fanatics that believe in the verses they keep making characters repeat) (although p.s. 2, touche with the personification of god as "she", and this is coming from an atheist đ)
