Testament is truly captivating! After watching the first two episodes of this unique series, I'm completely hooked. The show presents the book of Acts in a fresh, fast-paced, and modern or slightly futuristic setting that is so powerful, I can almost imagine walking alongside the disciples as if it were happening in my own lifetime. The worldbuilding is wonderful!
The show dives straight into the heart of the story without any backstory, offering plenty of action, tension, and passion. For those familiar with the Bible, it's an immersive experience. However, for those less acquainted, it might take a few scenes to fully grasp what's happening. (I encourage you to stick with it - it gets really good.)
Weeks after Jesus's resurrection, a mysterious wind (the Holy Spirit) descends upon the Apostles, filling them with courage, confidence, and a hunger to share the Good News. I could feel the joy of the early believers, especially young Stephen, Peter, and Mary Magdalene, and I took notice of their passion with fresh eyes. Stephen's portrayal as a young adult makes a strong impact, and I got chills when Peter received the power of healing. Saul is also a key figure this season. (And having knowledge of his persecution of early Christians gives an ominous weight to this character.)
The Temple Guard's frustrations, as well as the various struggles of Peter, Andrew, and Saul of Tarsus play more prominent roles in the second episode. At times it's difficult to remember who-is-who in this large cast but following along with the primary characters isn't a problem. I received more goosebumps in a special moment when Peter finds true power and courage. This series has me feeling all the feels.

THE KING OF KINGS is an adorable, meaningful film that is so much fun to watch! In this important animated film, storyteller Charles Dickens narrates a story he's been writing about the greatest King of all-Jesus Christ-to his imaginative young son, Walter.
The film begins with an unexpected twist as Charles shares his story of Scrooge with a theater audience. However, his storytelling is soon interrupted by his rambunctious son Walter, and Walter's equally spirited sidekick, Willa the cat.
Things organically transition into Charles recounting the greatest story ever told to Walter. Walter's attentiveness and thoughtful questions add depth and emotion to the viewing experience. The depiction of Jesus's life is presented with clarity, wonder, and praise. Despite Walter's frequent interruptions and Willa's playful antics the powerful messages of love, grace, and sacrifice remain fully intact.
This brilliant animated film is both entertaining and meaningful, conveying to viewers of all ages the need for a Savior and the profound sacrifice God made by giving His only Son to save us, if we have the faith to believe in Him and make Him the Lord of our lives.
This is an ideal film to watch with the entire family. It is sure to leave a lasting impact, fuel inspiration, and resonate with viewers. It's a film that truly matters.

UNBREAKABLE BOY is an incredibly sweet and inspiring film based on the true story of an extraordinary boy and his family as they navigate through challenging times in a memorable way. The dynamics of the Gun family are beautifully portrayed, showcasing both their obstacles and triumphs with humor, heart, and grace.
Young Austin, owning the affectionate nickname of Auz Man, is an optimistic and beautiful soul despite dealing with brittle bone disease and being on the Autism Spectrum. Scott, the father, displays a vulnerability that I deeply appreciate, while Teresa, the mother, exudes a remarkable inner strength. And younger brother Tyler, who holds a quieter role but oh so sweet, possesses an innate wisdom!
The film is filled with heart-wrenching moments, laugh-out-loud scenes, and instances that will bring you to tears. The relatable and quirky family discovers that climbing proverbial mountains together can lead to the biggest and sweetest blessings.
A quote from the film, "I wish I could love anything as much as Austin loves everything," perfectly captures the essence of this story. Austin probably doesn't even realize the power he holds, showing pure examples of acceptance, compassion, empathy, forgiveness, and love.
This uplifting film features unforgettable characters and soul-touching messages of faith, growth, and unconditional love. Have a tissue ready, as it might bring tears to your eyes. Don't miss the pictures and descriptions of the real-life characters at the end of the film!
