Depending on how much you love Star Trek, how much you love Spock, how much you love Love, and most importantly how much you love imaginative si-fi...
This could be your jam or you'll hate it.
I loved it. It reminded me so much of the original Star Trek I would watch as a young boy. Each anxiously anticipated episode a surprise that I just couldn't wait to watch. Of course some episodes were better than others, still the main memory superseding anything else, lingering after all this time, is my love of the show. Kirk, Spock, Uhura, Scotty...and everyone else. Villains included. Yes, that includes Q.
This was so much fun, and so beautifully done. You had everything, even good music. It was sad, it was funny, it was weird. Spock was adorable. Yep, you heard that right, Spock, adorable.
Open that heart, open that mind, open your eyes! Sit back and enjoy!!! This series is fun.

Fun fun fun. I feel like I'm watching Billy Jack, The Mod Squad and Foxy Brown in a threesome! It's a welcome mix and I'm so here for it. Casting is spot on. Josh looks at home behind the wheel of the Duster. Rachel Hilson is foxy, brown, beautiful, fierce, smart, driven...and taking no crap from the boys. So happy with Asivak Koostachin as Awan. He brings it. He's got me on his side right from the get go.
The musical score is fun and nostalgic. The look of the show is right. The fashion, the sets. They've done their work. Right from the first episode we get action, storyline, interesting characters and it doesn't slow down from there. It just picks up speed like that Duster! Episode two kills it, like for real. Bowling 🎳 will never be the same... Look, it's obvious there are haters giving ridiculous low ratings. Most know the "why's" of all that, so no explanation needed. For those of us not on board with the hate game... grab some popcorn, chips, or nopales tacos. A couple of beers or tequila, a good bourbon...sit back, have fun and enjoy the show! It's an awesome ride.

Ever heard the phrase "life's not meant to be managed, it's meant to be lived". I guess this movie shows it's a little bit more complicated sometimes, for some. It's a dance between managing and living. On the one hand everyone's trying to manage what others know about them and on the other hand taking great risks. Living on the edge. One character says that there's always the risk of losing it all. Nevertheless, some brave souls are willing to risk it all. For a chance at love, freedom, pleasure, connection, truth. A chance to be honestly seen and loved.
Is this a great movie? That depends. There are great things about it for sure. The actors for one. The stories told. Fascinating stories of hidden lives, and of secrets. Now exposed to us. Beautiful cinematography! Some shots literally made me want to freeze the frame, take it all in, and then after a long pause, push play.
