I love the first two films. I went to see 28 Days Later in the theater when I was just 19 years old.
I'm a fan of 28-Weeks too...
This movie has its share of great "moments". There are some well conceived scenes and sequences of action and overall terror. The best part of the film is clearly the first half of the movie.
Somewhere in the middle it loses its way. The movie devolves into an allegory about humanity, cruelty, life & death, etc.
It's fine I guess, but the trailer made it seem like a powerhouse of action, and the evolution of the Rage Virus. Like, maybe the first movie times four with some new ideas thrown in... It's not that premise though. Very subdued and vastly different than the previous films. Which can be a good thing sometimes, but unfortunately it doesn't work here.
I was disappointed. I was really hoping for Danny to come back and make a true "worthy" sequel to his surprising hit all those years ago. It appears he might have lost sight of what people loved about the original.

Holy cow was this movie was difficult to watch. The previews made this little Christmas jaunt look pretty hilarious.
I am always looking for irreverent holiday comedies to add into my yearly rotation. So obviously I wanted to give "Dear Santa" a whirl.
This was from the creators of Dumb and Dumber? I never would've known... Dear Santa plays out like a bunch of celebrities got together and filmed it over a drunken weekend.
I don't think I laughed once. The acting is beyond terrible. The jokes are flat and painfully unfunny. You can tell the lines are scripted but it comes off as "acting school" improve. No joke. Not one actor provided a moment of humor.
Geeze this was a freaking chore to get through...I gave it two stars because I genuinely like Jack Blacks vocal work for Satan. He didn't sound like Jack Black was playing... well... Jack Black per his usual performances.
Skip it. It's not a kids movie. It's not a funny irreverent movie for adults or even young adults... It's just a made for tv waste of money.
