Perhaps we can call it gaysploitation trash too. I tried to watch many shows that come from contestants of the Drag Race, but this one is a collaboration of a comedy? Duo and Trixie Mattel. The recipe is always the same. There is some obscure gay humor which works only if you are a part of the scene, mixed with some slapstick, low hanging fruit vulgarity, which was provocative 40 years ago. Then there is overacting, taught through Drag Race challenges, which makes sense on a stage, where those who can act overshadow those who don't. Some think this is entertaining even outside of Drag Race, so when they get a chance to create their own show they run with it. It's just trash, and not the good kind. It's like an obscure hard core music scene where quality doesn't matter, but the camaraderie. It's more important to support each other than to produce quality content.
This show is ridiculous. It's coming from a man who was vehemently defending Biden's state of mind for years and is now publishing a book about a conspiracy to hide it. How do these people keep doing what they are doing when all their credibility is lost? They can only exist in an echo chamber, where nobody checks their claims... because it feels right. This is not a show about scandals. It's another propaganda platform for a party that has "democracy" only in its name. It's a recipe that is proven not to work but they are just adding more effort to it, on all fronts. You can find youtubers who will give you more valuable information.
I remember watching clips from the show and occasionally I would find a whole episode. People were divided between liking Tom Green and Andy Dick show. For me as an introvert it felt liberating to see him make fun of human behavior and authority. I loved how he pranked his parents, because they are the most calm and loving people. There was never any over the top reaction from them, like with Bam Margera's parents. Of course, most of the studio interaction was trash but it was sprinkled with sketches which many of them were brilliant. Freddy got fingered is one of the craziest comedies of all time.
