The plot is rather straight forward and obvious. It's a great pity they didn't explore the graveyard from the original omen movie, given it's significant role in the overall series story & that it was in Italy.
The dialogue is very ordinary and a bit lame at times. Scenes are patched together and maybe the editing lost the flow. It fellas like several scenes are superfluous.
Most of the acting in the emotional and meaningful scenes is very wooden and poor. Lacking any depth of feeling or foreboding.
The music and sound effects are underwhelming and don't create any atmosphere at all.

Not sure how this was genre'd as a comedy. It definitely isn't. Dark comedy perhaps but that's not really correct either. There are some sequences that are typical of a couple arguing that do have comedic value but it's honestly what every couple does. It would be like showing a couple arguing and labelled a movie as a thriller. This is a very psychological movie.
Anyway, this was a great movie. Unbelievably tense and claustrophobic. Excellent performances all round. Pressure piled upon pressure. We found ourselves asking each other what we would do several times. No good answers I'm afraid! !

My expectations for this movie had been immediately tempered by the massive running time. After watching it, and wiggling in my seat to keep my cheeks from going to sleep I found that I was right to fear the 3.5 hour completely unnecessary duration. I'm taking 3 stars away for making me suffer for absolutely no payoff. In fact the end felt rushed! Imagine that.
There is a great premise behind this movie and it builds some good characters. A very shameful view of humanity indeed. Greed and racism at their manifest worst. Equally horrific is the lack of consequence for most involved in the scheme.
Was this a good suspension of the truth, I don't know enough about the facts to judge. It's an average docudrama made by a legend with legends. But the result is an often boring vanity project with only the telling of it's source material of any value.
