I gave it 4 stars because of keanu reeves. 8.4 on ImdB, seriously? One of the best films ever made? You gotta be kidding. From the b rated story plot to the dry lines and very little acting there is nothing but the endless fight scenes that keep this going. It starts with some sleek cinematography but becomes an endless bore at which you can't do anything but laugh at some point. I was hoping for one of those great action movies they don't make anymore but maybe I'll have to wait until indiana Jones for that. It may not help that I forgot what the other 3 were about but in all honesty, who cares at this point?

I had high expectations of this highly advertised movie (in Prague). Expected an artistic approach with good photography (pun intended) and an intriguing story. What I've seen is the kind of movie that should go straight to TV viewing. Unimpressive camera, artificial editing of flashback scenes and forced dialogs. The actors often seem theatrical and non believable. I couldn't last for more than 1h. A shame as the subject had a great potential. For an idea of what this movie could have been, check out La Grande Bellezza. It shares some common themes: loneliness of the aging protagonist, well developed characters, beautiful scenes, etc.
