This movie is a pale copy of the first one but without all which made up the substantial marrow.
It feels like the film was conceptualized by marketing agents trying to make money without understanding what made the basic trilogy cult.
Sure, it's well filmed, but it has no artistic touch, the direction is as generic as possible, the actors are forgettable and the characters they play even more so, we feel nothing for them and I would be very surprised if people quote these characters almost 40 years later as they can do with the characters in the first Alien film or the second. In short, after the errors of a completely senile Ridley Scott, they should have stopped the costs but Hollywood never learns.

So if you are not familiar with the work of Koji Shiraishi, i coul not recommand you this video, try to watch Noroi or Okaruto first, that will give you an idea of the Shiraishi's style and touch.
When you watch a movie from this guy, you not expect a cood acting, good quality or "big stars", like what another viewer seems to have been looking for, if you are like him I advise you to move on.
No, when you watch a film by the master, it's for the thrill, the low-key aspect and the found footage style and also that little something extra typical of Shiraishi's films that draws you into the story without you even realizing it.
Definitely worth seeing if you're already familiar with the Found Footage genre and Shiraishi's films.

Predestination is an absolute snooze fest. The plot is a convoluted mess, dragging on with zero excitement. The characters are flat and lack any charisma, especially the main protagonist-who feels like a Mary Sue. She's too perfect, making her both boring and unbearable to watch. Instead of being compelling, her supposed depth feels forced and unearned. The film's attempts at twists only make it more confusing, leaving you more frustrated than entertained.
The plot's a tangled mess that drags on endlessly, making it hard to care about anything happening and the film's pacing is agonizing. A tedious, unoriginal borefest.
