Honestly expected more giving the context of the movie.

The movie is meant to be a tour of Poland based around two cousins finding out about their family history and written by Jesse Eisengberg, who I assume has a similar background, but the movie misses the mark.

They isn't anything that makes this a bad film but they certainly isn't anything that makes it a great film.

Jessie is Jessie, very similar to other roles. Mccoulkin is good but the character seems a little too all over the place to be truly believable.

Neither character seems to have any sort of journey in character and some of the supporting cast seem like they may have better characters than the leads.

Over all the film is watchable but don't expect anything great, this had the chance to be really great what we ended up with was an average film at best that plods along without any real growth or outcome to the characters.

This film was better than I expected. Is it a masterpiece, definitely not, is it the worst thing I've ever seen definitely not.

It's very 90s esq cheesy action film based around a group of assasins trying to kill someone on a plane while a drunk former secret service operative tries to save her. Do not watch this film expecting to see an Oscar worthy great.

However, Josh Hartnett is really good and carries the film well. It's the first thing I've seen Charithra Chandran in and thought she was really good to. The action is over the top and stupid but at the same time entertaining.

The worst thing about the movie is the ending where the film is left unfinished and set up for a sequel, which is a huge pet hate of mine.

I was expecting a lot from this film and in some cases it delivered. The acting is great across the board with Chalamet portraying Dylan brilliantly and his singing is really on point.

The problem with the film is that the story reads like a greatest hits rather than a biopic. It's like the writers and director wanted to fit as many songs in as possible and forgot they were meant to be telling a story at the same time.

It's not a bad film in any way, I just was expecting it to be better than average. With the quality of acting and singing in the film it really deserved better story telling to go with it.
