As a fan I enjoy just about anything with Jose Coronado. He's a solid performer in everything I've seen him in. Rotten Legacy is no exception.

However, if you think you're in for an original concept, think again. This is basically Succession 2.0.

Succession was a remarkable drama with Brian Cox as the role that Coronado has in this series. Yes, it's a different series, but it is obvious that Rotten Legacy used Succession as an inspiration. Family drama, backstabbing, media empire, sound familiar?

While it is Succession 2.0, it is a solid show, if only for Jose Coronado in the lead.

My score 6/10.

I cannot in good faith review the movie itself. I couldn't get past the gawd awful acting. It is literally akin to if a group of middle schoolers decided that they wanted to make a film that was not even scripted but ad-libbed with cringworthy results.

I cannot review the movie because I had to turn stop watching. Utter garbage acting,maybe script (if it wasn't ad-libbed, but I honestly don't know).

I also get it is a found footage movie, but with the quality of cameras the past several tears, even on phones, why make it look like it's filmed in the 1960's?

This movie is not a found footage. There is plenty of scenes that had nothing to do with the footage being found.

About the movie itself, it wasn't great or even mediocre. I'd label the movie subpar at best.

There was zero development on any of the characters You only knew that Denis O'Hare was the father because the Nora character called him dad.

There was confusion of who was the lead of the archeological site. Was it Holden, Nora, the government or a private party?

They really could have used more (some?) humor from often funny James Buckley.

Even with Buckley and O'Hare, the acting felt phoned in. Especially from O'Hare, who seems to do well in the genre (AHS).

Just not a believable movie and definitely not "found footage".
