The Amateur surprised me with its mix of tension and emotional depth. Rami Malek gives a strong, layered performance as a CIA cryptographer forced into action after tragedy strikes. The film avoids typical spy-thriller clichés-its pacing is tight, the London settings look great, and the supporting cast (especially Rachel Brosnahan and Jon Bernthal) add real weight. Smart, suspenseful, and more heartfelt than expected. Worth watching if you like thrillers that combine action with character-driven storytelling.
After this film, they reclassified Nuri Bilge Ceylan's movies under the action-adventure category. That's how slow, quiet, and haunting Under the Skin is. But don't get me wrong - this isn't a criticism. It's hypnotic, unsettling, and almost otherworldly in its atmosphere. Scarlett Johansson delivers a performance that's more alien than any CGI could achieve, and Jonathan Glazer directs with the patience of a cosmic predator.
This is not a movie you watch, it's one you sink into, like quicksand made of existential dread. The sound design alone could give you goosebumps in your soul. Not for everyone - but if you're into eerie minimalism and philosophical terror, this one's a masterpiece.

Knives Out is a brilliantly crafted modern twist on the classic whodunit genre. Rian Johnson delivers a razor-sharp script full of wit, twists, and social commentary, all wrapped in an Agatha Christie-style mystery. The pacing is tight, the clues are clever, and the misdirections are masterful.
Daniel Craig steals the show with his southern detective Benoit Blanc - charming, eccentric, and surprisingly profound. The ensemble cast (Ana de Armas, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, and more) all deliver stellar performances, making every character memorable and suspicious in their own right.
It's a film that respects your intelligence while keeping you thoroughly entertained. Whether you're a mystery veteran or just love great storytelling, Knives Out is a must-watch.
