I was grateful for the humor in this episode to offset the seriousness of suspected parental child abuse. The bit with Joann Worley screaming at the start was a good beginning. Set the tone for lightheartedness. I was waiting for her to talk the boys into joining her. Love Joann from Laugh In. She's always a delight. John Gage's stumbling stage fright during the television interview was amusing too. Poor Johnny! The rest of the episode dealt with more serious issues with the occasional jab at Johnny. The very last rescue was exciting but wait until the very end. I laughed so hard my stomach hurts.
At the beginning of the episode, when Jane is putting on her lipstick, the mirror on her table is round except for one shot when the mirror was suddenly a large unlit rectangle. It immediately went back to a smaller round lit mirror. I did a rewind to make sure it wasn't my eyes playing a trick on me. Glad to see Kim back! I am getting used to Paul. He's an odd duck but he's funny.
It will be interesting to see how these relationships change with all of the revelations. What is Paul's purpose? He's not as involved in Jane's life as Fred and that other guy whose name I can't remember. He must just be there for comedy relief. It works.

Oh my. Husband found this and we are currently watching it. Everyone else's reviews are spot on. I had nothing to add except that the baby alien sounds like Elmo. Some voices were clearly dubbed. Odd little movie that we will enjoy for all of its terribleness. We are surprised that no one in the Wild West has commented on the girl's exposed midriff. The "smart" kid keeps asking dumb questions. He is fully aware that they are in an older time but he asks if there is Chinese food delivery. Maybe he's just being a smarty pants but he has no inflections in his speech so who knows. I'm glad it's less than 90 minutes long.
