This wonderful animated film combines the very best of DreamWorks with the heart and storytelling skill of Pixar. I saw the movie with a group of adults and we loved it as much as the families around us. And any movie that includes the voice of Bill Nighy has to be great! This is a charming tale of learning how accept the differences in all of us, as a clever play on the ugly duckling tale. Roz, a robot who only wants to help others, finds herself on a island inhabited only by animals. When she learns how to communicate with them and becomes a mother to one gosling, your heart will melt as you pay homage to all moms who tackle the nearly impossible burden of being responsible for a young life.
Do yourself a favor and see this charming film!

I was so fortunate to see this darkly funny horror movie at the Phoenix Film Festival in April 2024. Like many of us movie lovers, it's a welcome treat when you come across such a film with so many unexpected delights!
Led by veteran actors Lou Diamond Phillips and Malcolm McDowell, the talented cast take us on a thrill ride of what happens on and off stage in a production of Julius Caesar. Be sure to watch for a great comedic turn by Brennan Keel Cook as a handsome but not-too-bright actor, challenged by the pivotal role of Brutus.
Needless to say, not all the blood spilled remains on the stage. Screenwriter / Director Max Tzannes literally pulls back the curtain on a world of an ill-fated troupe of players and the crew who try to hold it all together.
