Every season I'm surprised how really good series with amazing acting and great acting got cancelled (last year was the magnificent East New York) while others with a very poor quality, wrong casting and ridiculous dialogue keep been renewed. And this is the case of SWAT. It has lasted eith seasons and it is one of the worst series I've ever watched. Everything in SWAT is wrong. Firstly the cast, 3 guys who must be thinking about retiring and look awful on those extra tight T-shirts are suppose to be part of a elite team? Come on, to be in SWAT is needed to be young and in shape. Also, the cast comes and goes, suddenly a main actor dissapears and reappears two seasons later. Another one retires to be back in the following season, this is lack of consistency. And the worst of everything is the dialogue. If you close your eyes you can imagine two eight years old playing with their GI-Joes and saying those silly sentences. Who wrote that? Unmature tennagers? And still there are eight seasons. This is reason why TV shows are now so low quality.

How many good films could have been made with the budget of this thing. The script has no sense. It is boring. Money does not make good films but talent does and this film has cost lot of money but lack of talent. Coppola is obsessed to make the best film ever and again has failed.

With less money the same story can be told and be more entertaining. Coppola thinks he is Orson Welles but the Orson Welles of his last times, when he was spending money making nonsense films.

Please, do not waste your time with this thing (I cannot insult films calling this a film) get a dvd of The Conversation and watch a film of this director when still he didn't think of himself as bigger thsn life.

I have watched the first season and I am watching now the second. And I am going to say what nobody dare to say: this is the worst series ever. Yes, Jennifer Coolidge is amazing bit, when she isn't? This very expensive series is a waste of time and money. It is about nothing but not in the Seinfeld way. Unlikable characters, very slow pace (you only need to watch the last 10 minutes of each episode to follow the inexistent plot), boring dialogues. To make things worse, instead of being a series of 40 minutes episodes, they are longer than an hour. So, don't trust these 10 stars reviews, they are as bored as I am.
