As many other reviewers have stated, this show started out really strong. Season One was great. Season Two was pretty darn good. Season Three quickly started to fall apart. My spouse and I continued to watch it until we realized we were only doing so out of a sense of obligation.

The show seems to have fallen into the category of formulaic with little through line of the story. Each episode had some huge "wow" crisis they had to contend with and by the end, it was wrapped up but oh wait! Another crisis has just emerged, better stay watching! The deeper plot and character developments in season one was much more fulfilling.

Also, the ridiculous tech inaccuracies got old fast.

I love Justin Long and Bill Skarsgard. The trailer looked enticing and even if it had the typical horror movie tropes, I was looking forward to it and expected it to be overall really good, or at least passable.

It did start out fairly strong. I liked the slow burn of the plot unfolding, and then it really quickly went to crap. The female MC is among the most idiotic character I've seen in any film. It makes precisely zero sense why she would put herself in danger over and over for total strangers. It would have been more believable if she and Keith were a couple madly in love. Or if she were a former cop or something.

Then there's the plot holes. It was just one thing after another after another. It completely took me out of the movie (and I intentionally try not to think too hard about any movie I'm watching so I can just enjoy it). Whatever message they were trying to send was lost in how ridiculous it was (while seemingly not trying to be ridiculous like a horror-comedy).

Im simply astounded that its rated so well. I cannot understand it.

I can see how this special would not be for everyone (most aren't, though). However, it was right up my and my spouse's lane. Some other reviewers had a problem with his opening, but that was what pulled us right in.

He's an expert at using crowd tension in my opinion. His style can be a little outrageous yet not offensive and while I don't mind some "offensive" material, I do think pulling that off is quite a skill. His timing is fantastic and his whole vibe makes it seem like he's just a generally funny guy and not pretentious, like he'd be a great guy to grab a beer with, so he's definitely got that relatability thing going (I get not for everybody, but I'm talking from my POV).

My spouse and I enjoyed this special so much that we recently drove almost two hours to be able to see him live. Was not disappointed. I was nearly in tears from laughter in less than 5 minutes into his set.
