The only reason I went to see this movie was to see if Zendaya could hang with the big dogs. To see if she can carry a film all by herself. She has the talent, she has the looks. She has it all. I think this movie is a good start to launch her career as a bonfide movie star. That being said, the movie itself was okay. Just okay. Not great, not bad but okay. I thought Zendaya was good. Her performance was something I expected, which I guess is a good thing. Didn't blow me out of the water but overall good. The actor who played Patrick, in my opinion did a great job. However everything else about this movie just fell short for me. Too much style and not enough substance.

For one of the many book readers, all I have to say is WOW! I've read a lot of books that utterly fail in adapting the book but Denis adapts Dune perfectly. This is a sci-fi epic masterpiece. I know people who have not read the book and they are absolutely in love with Part 2. What makes apart 2 so amazing is how great of a job Denis did with Part 1. The perfect set up movie for the ultimate showdown and the growth of a boy into a man and from a man into a Messiah. Chalamet does a superb job in growing not only as an actor but as man becoming himself and learning the ways of the world. Please go see Part 2 as quickly as possible and in IMAX. This movie deserves to go down as one of, if not the greatest sci-fi movie of all time. IMAX IMAX IMAX.

This a fun movie, period. Yes it gets absurd towards the end but even the haters can't deny that overall, Argylle is a fun movie. Let it take you on the absurd ride that it is and just enjoy it. The entire cast is great as well, Cavil playing the perfect fictional spy master along with the real spy master, Rockwell. Also not bad from Bryce Dallas Howard either. Did not stay for the post credit scene (didn't know about it) and it looks like maybe sequel in the works? Who knows. I do know that the haters are certainly going to hate this movie. Too many movie snobs out there. The only real negative thing I can say is that it felt longer than the 2:19hr.
