This was a nice action film, and nothing more. I enjoyed the action and the story was just ok, but what bothered me was that the heart of the sci-fi movie was missing.
There was no empathy for these "monsters" that were created and accountability for the people who did so.
As an action mivie, nice. As part of the Jurassic Park franchise, no.
I also watched in Imax 3D and the picture and the sound were really nice. By careful, there are a couple of loud jumpscares.
It's family-appropriate, but there are many scary scenes involving a child (who survives). Some people got eaten by the dinosaurs.
There was no empathy for these "monsters" that were created and accountability for the people who did so.

The couple's acting was quite mediocre, but that was not the issue.
The metaphor of the cellar door meaning a gateway the past, or dark secrets, has already been done in many books and movies ad nauseum. That's not the issue.
It's not horror. It's supposed to be a thriller, and not a great one at that either. However even that's not my issue with this film.
Personally, I didn't like it because of the message it's giving to couples.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT'S CONDONING LYING, CHEATING AND EVEN MURDER and things will be ok as long as you keep each other's secrets safe.
So, basically, be honest with your spouse (this part is good) but then, you get the house (relationship) back after you lied, or cheated, or murdered someone?
Nope.
Very disappointing for me.
