EDITED FOR SEASON 3
SEASON 3
I don't know what happened here but this was a train wreck... I don't lower the score even further because the first two seasons are good but I might, depending on the future.. There is not much to say that hasn't already been said, after 6 years the studio producing and animating this show did simply put a horrible job, these are mostly still frames with an odd pace that we get to experience.
I don't pretend to know the anime industry and I do know these are often underpaid and overworked people that collaborate on these projects, however I don't understand why this doesn't change, why not hire more people and pay them better specially when we are discussing one of the most popular anime's worldwide, this is not an independent new show that just came in...
Also, this arc is just boring, even if the animation was great I couldn't care less about any of these characters... it's just plain idiocy, I just want to see Saitama, the manga creator doesn't do a good job of creating interesting side characters with very few exceptions, we get 5 minutes of Saitama in an entire season with poor animation, this will go down for the ages as one of the poorest works in anime, and I don't understand how after 6 years!!
SEASONS 1 AND 2
When done the right way a satire can become a refreshing and entertaining piece of art, by paying homage and taunting other works of the same genre (in this case anime) and adding the comedy to it, it's always a treat.
I am not enough familiar with manga and anime history to claim if One Punch Man was the pioneer for this satire approach, I assume it wasn't, but for sure solidified its position and became a reference of the genre.
It's without a doubt a fun watch, it has some nice characters and Saitama is a treat to see, I do feel however that it lacks an interesting plot as it feels a pure satire with a simplistic story.
There's really not much going on in One Punch Man world, the story gets slowly introduced to us as in all anime's and the world is slowly built, but contrary to many others where it seems as it expands it becomes way more interesting, OPM just decides to focus on the comedic aspect not leaving too much room for an engaging plot.
Also, Saitama is really a great character but the secondary ones fall really short, I didn't feel a connection to any of them in fact the show becomes a bit boring when Saitama is not on screen, ironically.
I do have an unpopular opinion, mainly because I saw this show before I watched One Punch Man and I know its way newer, but I felt that Mashle had a way more interesting approach to the satire genre.
It's simply ridiculous as a story and it just owns it.. For the most part is comedy yeah but it has a decent enough story to keep the audience going and in fact adds some great dramatic charge, finding a surprising great balance in it.
One Punch Man is fun for sure, it's a good watch maybe it was my expectation given the rating but I don't think its as amazing as it is claimed to be, nonetheless it's still wort the watch.

I understand the criticism of the slow pace of the show, I've seen countless movies and TV series that turn into a snooze fest or are labeled as artistic only to end up being just straight up pretentious - I don't think Pluribus fits into this category.
Most people seem to agree that the concept is intriguing and original, which makes the first episodes really great to follow, I do agree that we could've used less episodes to transpire the same feeling and atmosphere to the audience, however, contrary to many other shows I do enjoy the slow burn moments that are portrayed here because they tend to convey something most fail: realism.
We are used to fast paced story telling, content moves so fast these days we can't stop to appreciate and absorb these new worlds we are transported to when watching movies or TV.
Everyone of us has an opinion of how we would react in a situation such as this, but I don't feel Carol's roller coaster is that off, we are complex beings, placing ourselves in such an extreme and improbable situation would cause all sorts of reactions, so I did enjoy the ride and the emotional turbulence the main character goes through.
I ended up thinking to myself what would a world like that look like, is that true peace, is losing all self identity worth to allow mankind to coexist or that simply stops us from being humans in the first place?
It's a thought provoking show, that could've probably benefited from a slightly faster pace yes, but I like to believe this is a built up to more epic things to come.
Maybe I'm wrong, the next seasons will confirm or deny!
Amazing production, amazing shots, stunning landscapes, amazing acting specially from Rhea and very realistically depicted even with the Sci-Fi elements present, I really miss these kind of shows and I love Vince Gilligan's writing.

Spy Family didn't have much appeal to me for a while, until I was convinced to give it a try. I wasn't expecting the mood and overall atmosphere of the show, I thought it would be a straight forward action thriller Spy anime however, you have to watch it with the right context - it is a soft cozy comedy show with spy elements.
Obviously the strength of the show is the cozy aspect, it is a really unconventional family that's put together for their own individual selfish reasons, but slowly their bond become stronger as they live together and develop tighter bonds with one another.
Aside from the warm moments you have some comedy elements that do work well and obviously your occasional spy action moments that drive the entire narrative and plot forward. These for me are the most interesting ones even though they aren't present in all episodes.
There's a clear ultimate goal which makes you engaged on the story, but sometimes I do feel it's too dragged out, I don't know how many seasons are planned but I might change my opinion on the series depending on how much they drag the main mission and the inevitable revelations that need to happen for which I am really curious.
I also feel that Yor's real job is a bit dark at times for the tone of the show, it slightly throws me off but it's Loid's profession that's the main focus so it's not a recurrent aspect.
It's really well done overall, great animation, great narrative, great soundtrack, amazing characters, cozy yet thrilling, it's just a matter on how the story progresses in the upcoming seasons.
