This series is an excellent mix of drama, the right amount of suspension and sfi-fi elements. Itis slow paced but it keeps your interrest. The acting is phenomenal, Sissy Spacek is at her best but all others are almost equal in their performance. You can't stop disliking Byron, the weird neighbour.

Why would anyone within their right mind cancel an unique show like this. It is the sad course of the streaming services that all make the same repeatative crap, and then when they make something special, it is quickly cancelled because the viewers are not as much as for other, more, basic shows.

You simply don't want to start a series when you know there is no descent end to it.

I hadn't watched the reviews before watching and a good thing I didn't because I may have skipped this. Apperently most science fictions lovers prefer technological topics rather than personal and relational issues that are linked to a changed society/technology, like the hidden gem IO which is equally underrated. Appartently they want to see robots, spaceships and action.

FOE is excellent in dialogues, acting an cinematography. And it has a nice plot twist at the end. Ofcourse there are some obvious questions that can be raised, but that is beside the point.

So if you want an action packed evening, this sure isn't for you. If you like some more depth in a story, it's very worthwhile.
