Incredibly disappointed with this final entry into the M:I saga. While grateful for some initial recapping in the very beginning, the constant awful exposition through one of the worst scripts ever just ruined the experience. The long prologue that is non-stop reflection, stage setting, and flashbacks to previous films was obnoxious. It truly felt like nothing of substance took place to drive the plot forward for over an hour. Things just happened for the sake of happening. Characters came and went with sappy, unrealistic dialogue for the entire film. Ran to the bathroom? No worries, they'll recap what just happened and talk about what's coming three or four more times. Did you love the earlier Mission: Impossible movies? It's a good thing they'll be sprinkling in quick cuts of all of the best parts of them for almost 3 hours!
Anticlimactic, an absolute bore, an a disappointment from start to finish.

This episode was atrocious. The reality of what resulted in Spa aside, they did another awful job editing the story and excitement of a race. It's almost like they don't understand what matters and what we (race fans) care to see. Lap after lap, we are watching the times and intervals. I'll never forget how exciting it was to watch Lewis chase down George down the stretch of the 2024 Spa race. A gutsy strategy vs. Pure skill. Drive to Survive captured all of 5% of this excitement when a simple extra 30 seconds of footage could've made for a great opportunity. They have NO REASON to try and shorten these episodes, they're under 40 minutes and on a streaming platform for Pete's sake!!
If you're going to try and weave a good tale, do it well and try to show us you actually know a thing or two about the subject matter and how to do your own job.

It takes a very significant number of talented individuals to craft a good episode of SNL. The same holds true for this excellent representation of what the early days were like for the show's inception.
Well-known actors in top form round out an electric, less-known cast. The parallels continue as I'm excited to see where this film's selection of cast members end up just as the real Lorne plucked out less known yet gifted folks for a chance at stardom.
Frequent creative liberties tied to well-known actual events make this film very endearing and easy to stay engaged with. The more you know and respect about the history of SNL, NBC, and the original cast, the more you'll appreciate the very hard and deliberate work that went into this film. It's exactly what it was intended to be. The more you look and think about the massive cultural impact of Saturday Night Live, the more you'll appreciate the end result in Saturday Night--enjoy!
