Nora Armani is an award-winning actor/filmmaker with International stage and screen credits. She performs in multiple languages; recent Off-Broadway stage credits in New York include Mercedes and Zaruhi (United Solo), Terrorism (Lenfest Center for the Arts), directed by Velanu Dibba, and Pirandello's Six Characters in Search of an Author directed by Patrick Mulryan. Recent TV include The Better Sister on Amazon Prime, Black List: Redemption on NBC TV, and Golden Boy on NBC. Feature films include Absolute Dominion, directed by Lexi Alexander; I am Gitmo, directed by Philippe Diaz; The Last Wish, and Jukebox, directed by Rax Rinnekangas. Short films include Lazy People, Karoumi, Hungry, and iMigrant Woman (director - winner of Best Woman director of a short).

Under her Paris-based film production company Square Mango Films, Nora has organized and guest-curated film festivals internationally, at AFI in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., The Pompidou Center in Paris, ICA London, The British Library, Cine Lumière London, Edinburgh Film Festival, Kerala Film Festival India, Birmingham, Inverness, and Cardiff. As a sociologist, she has participated in conferences at the Central Eurasian Studies Society (CESS) at Harvard University and the Harriman Institute at Columbia University. She has taught LSE Media Studies on Cultural Identity in Cinema. Her films have been screened in the official selections of the Cannes Film Festival, IFF Rotterdam, Paris, London, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Denver, Oregon, Kerala, Monaco, Shanghai, Yerevan, and New York.

Nora holds a Master's Degree in Theatre (and Film) from Hunter College, CUNY, a Master's Degree in Sociology from The London School of Economics (LSE), and a BA in Sociology and English (Drama) from AUC.

Nora has taught theatre and coached internationally as an educator in Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Yerevan, and Shushi at all levels, from performing arts schools to colleges, universities, and State Conservatories.
