This is a movie I saw about a singer I know from the far past but have never been involved with, even if I'm a fan of music. The most favorite kinds in Greece from the UDS for that period were mostly pop and rock . As a result,, Bob is 'a complete unknown' singer to me as Joan Baez (though known as singers inin those old times)..I liked the movie and the story behind Bob's life. What I got from this movie was: His strong passion lies in music, which he values more than relationships. A sole person guided by the community and the persons nearby him with limited self-personality. Finally, he found his real self and made his small revolution against his bonds by starting a better career. Sound too generic? I'm not interested in giving movie spoilers . The movie shows the start of his career in the 62-65 period together with his first relationships with a girl called Sylvie, noted as fictional by other commenters, and Joan Baez with the near angelic voice. This movie is filled with many songs throughout the 130-minute duration. All of them are totally unknown to me.
A particularly progressive film for an Islamic country like Kuwait
Beautiful landscapes hotels and all the things you think you are in a western country. Typical American script with a little dose of Islamic standards and the local way of life in Kuwait and Lebanon. The funniest part of the story was whether or not the couple were actually brother and sister.
Too many laughs in the first part of the film.
The only doo of the movie was the fat girl's thick hair and her rather exaggerated way of expressing herself. The groom was quite restrained.
At least me and my wife had a good time in this movie.
The final song is Hayo by Robert Alasaad noted in the end of the movie and also easily shazamed !
