The negative reviewers here complain that this show is not funny, and to a degree they are correct. But there are 3 reasons that this show is enjoyed by many. 1- Its inhabited by likable genial characters that, with repeated watching, have become comfortable and feel like old friends. You just like watching them, even if it is not hilarious. The charisma of the actors make the difference. 2- The humor is Ironic, with a central character- Brent- who is fairly sane, who is surrounded by idiots and nincompoops. But they are His family and friends. This is similar to Bob on the Newhart show, Mr. Douglas on Green Acres, or to a greater outrageous degree, to many characters in Monty Python scripts. 3- Sorry I could not come up with a 3rd reason, but I needed to pad out this review a bit, so anyway. This show is liked, or even loved. Maybe you wont get it, but if you give it a chance, it might grow on you, try it.
