Hum Tum literally means Me and You.
At a book review for the new little cartoon, Hum Tum, journalists ask Karan Kapoor (Saif Ali Khan)if his story is hidden in the story that he wrote. Someone asks him what his story is, and Karan agrees to tell them. He begins where he first met a girl named Riya (Rani Mukherjee) on a New York destined flight. They meet and on a long layaway in Amsterdam, they can agree on one thing. They loathe each other. Riya thinks that she will never see Karan again, but she is wrong. When she is to wed Sameer, she sees Karan again. Karan was the wedding planner's (Rati Agnihotri) son. They still loathe each other, but Karan starts feeling a pull towards her. They have a couple of other quirky meetings that may either end in love or misery for them both.
As the main story is going on, Karan's cartoons take life and basically form a subplot. Hum and Tum are, ironically, each of the cartoon characters' names. Hum is the boy, and Tum is the girl. At first, they aren't friends, and as Karan's story goes on, theirs goes on in a similar way. Will Hum and Tum ever get together and form the celebrated Hum Tum? Or will they also never ever fall in love?
This movie is a very cute, clean romance between two people. It is not one of the regular Bollywood formulas, there is no parental interventions, and it just shows that love may develop over time. The romance that develops between Riya and Karan is strong, that even after viewing the movie, the watcher feels that they have been given something different from regular romantic movies. I recommend this film highly for anyone who even thinks of watching a Bollywood movie. Yes, there are cartoons, but they in no way detract from the movie.

The CBS hit show CSI is worth watching for everyone. It has drama for girls, and major action for guys, the science is pretty accurate as well. In my opinion, this show surpasses most others because of the one thing it has that Law ans Order doesn't, science. Granted, the cases get solved a lot more quickly than in real life, but it still is a learning experience. Cases are very unique and original, and sometimes one wonders how someone could pull off such an elaborate crime. But not to worry, CSIs will get them anyway. Who are the CSIs? Crime Scene Investigator Gil Grissom is the top CSI for the Las Vegas Police Department. He has brought the crime lab to its number two spot in the USA, and he is obsessed with bugs. He couldn't have gotten very far without his sidekick, and beautiful ex-exotic dancer Catherine Willows. She is a single mom raising a young girl, and juggling work and home. She loves her job and what she does, but she would do anything for some quality time with Lindsey, her daughter. Others who are working at the lab are Warrick Brown, ex gambler. He had a gambling problem, but now he is letting go. Nick Stokes, a young CSI from Texas, he is very thorough and is sympathetic to victims. Sara Sidle is a young lady who was called in from San Francisco to help out on a case, and she never left. Greg Sanders used to be a DNA lab tech, but now he's out in the field along with everyone else. Join the CSI's this Thursday at 9/8c when they investigate a new case.
This was an amazing movie. Then again, I grew up with the songs of the trilogy. It was amazing, and a must see for people who haven't seen it.
The Rajah is so funny at times, you just laugh along with him. Goopy and Bagha are amazing in their roles, and the slippers that take them anywhere crack me up. They eat whatever they want, when the sing, the world stops. Its amazing. A must see for the whole family.
As a director, Satyajit Ray outdid himself, and he made a timeless classic for people of all ages. I laughed, and I laughed. Its an AMAZING comedy.
The effects are also really good for that time period. Ray is a magician with movies, screenplay, and effects. This movie is a stellar example of that.
