Was a huge movies fan until the downfall around 2008 where every movie started to be either a re-make or use the same plot from the older ones.

How do you judge if a movie is good or bad?

I guess it all depends on the personal taste, what I expect in a certain genre, how well actors and actresses portray the character and a story.
For me, the criteria for a movie to be good- It has to draw me in, make me forget about things around me, and make me focus on it. I hate movies I can easily predict. So, what I expect in a good movie is a certain dose of mystery and something unexpected. The plot twist that will make me say oh, I didn’t see that coming.
In general, I love movies with a solid storyline. Or it can be a simple (something we already saw) story, but it has to be well executed.
