I saw this fright flick years ago at the drive-in,(thank you big sister for letting me tag along!)I was 12 years old at the time and those horseback riding, slow moving zombies scared the heck out of me. And that ending....YIKES! As you can imagine I was delighted when I found the dvd awhile back with both TOTBD and Return OTBD (the latter I hadn't seen before) I know things seem scarier the 1st time around and that is true of Tombs. And yes it is dated. Still, this movie has it's moments. Dark, haunting music accompanies the opening shots of the crumbling ruins to let you know you are in for a treat. (Night of the Living Deads' opening had the same effect on me.) This film has it's flaws, i.e. a needless rape scene, and is a little slow in parts. On the flip side, some scenes are hilarious. The guy in the morgue is a riot. Not everyone will like TOTBD. When I told my sister I found the dvd she didn't even remember seeing it. Didn't impress her much I guess. By the way I was dissappointed in Return OTBD, a watered down imitation of the original. Laughed through most of it so it's all good! Peace out!

I happened to catch this neat little chiller the other day, and try as I may I could not stop watching. Of course with Mia Farrow starring, who would want to? Ms. Farrow portrays Sarah, a couragous young woman who tragically loses her sight but not her determination in this nail biting thriller that starts off a little slow then takes off like a house on fire. One of those movies where you find yourself blurting out things like "Don't go in there!" After discovering that everyone in her house has been brutally butchered, Sarah relies on her remaining senses to hide from an unknown madman who returns to the scene to recover evidence and discovers her hiding place. Managing to escape, she stumbles upon on a near-by trailer where help is just a doorbell away...or is it? Grab your popcorn, lock your doors and find out.

This made for tv gem is just right for watching when you're stuck at home on a rainy night. Just you, the cat (or to be fair dog!) and a big bowl of popcorn. Kathleen Beller stars as a beautiful young artist who tries in vain to convince anyone who will listen that she is being stalked by an unknown madman...or is she? Could it be that the death of dear old dad has caused poor Amy to imagine it all? Is she deliberately engaging those around her in a childish attention-getting prank? A sympathetic mother, a probing doctor and new boyfriend all try to make sense of things before the killer, real or imagined catches up to her. This above average tv flick is well worth the 90 minutes. Mariette Hartley and Gary Graham along with a strong supporting cast help make this 90 minutes well worth it. Sit back and enjoy!
