i rented this movie because i can't resist those cheesy large size boxes, with the crazy paintings or what have you, on the cover. whenever i pass one in the video isle, i just have to rent it. such was the case with this film. the box seems to want to sell this movie as an edgy sex comedy, like promises, promises or something. it wasn't however. there is very little talk of sex. in fact there is very little anything. just some dumb jokes. the same jokes. over and over and over. i watched most of this film in fast forward. this is one of those movies that you can't believe ever made it through production, and can't imagine how it's still in rental store almost 40 years after it's release.

this movie is not as bad as the above rating might lead you to believe. it's not that good either, but is just an average ultra low budget thriller. one thing it does have going for it is the cinematography, which a much better then the standard, follow the characters around only, type stuff you usually see. however the director clearly had big ambitions, but was unable to hold the movie together, and as a result the entire film feels wrong somehow, like a piece is missing. anyway i wouldn't highly reccomend it, but at least it manages to be interesting.
