I love, love, love Taskmaster, so was really looking forward to a kids version.
Now, whilst I think Junior Taskmaster has a certain charm to it, and Rose Matafeo and Mike Wosniak are doing a great job, I think some of the kids' responses and reactions - both during the tasks and in the studio - feel a little overproduced. Like production fed the kids the 'funny responses' - which takes away a bit of the sparkle.
However, tasks are great, child-friendly, and both hosts definitely do a super job and seem to be at ease filming with those kids. (Some of whom appear to come from quite privileged families it seems, coz they talk quite posh - lol).
All in all decent entertainment, but not breaking the mold.

Pitting 100 chefs against each other (20 top of the class - i.e. Michelin star quality, and 80 'others') , some of them, however, absolute masters in their field, sounds like fun, and it is.
Although 100 become 40, then 22 VERY quickly.
The concept is great, the production - as so often with Korean reality TV shows (nod to Physical 100!) is pompous, with huge elaborate sets and dramatic music. They really know how to throw money on their reality shows.
It takes itself incredibly seriously, so don't expect much humour.
The show does suffer from some pacing issues (a couple of episodes - white vs black spoons) are drawn out too much, and the blind tastings feel a tad weird. After a while I felt like I didn't need to see another spoonful of food shoved down the blindfolded judges' mouths by some nameless 'feeder'...
The editing is classic Korean, with a few shouts, awwws and oooohs shown twice, like they did in Physical 100, but not quite as blatant.
I also think the editing was a little biased at times to rile up the viewer towards a certain chef / team.
However, it's still pretty enjoyable. As a Westerner, I don't always understand the Korean cooking methods (boiling pork, then deep-frying it? WTF!); but hey ho, it's another part of the world.
I am really rooting for the underdogs here, as probably most people are, and 7 episodes in I am still hooked.
Give it a go, it's quite something...

What a load of tosh! This was so disappointing, considering the great cast (Bill Nighy, Ralph Ineson, Sonia Braga, Charles Dance). I reckon they paid most of the budget on those actors who didn't really care about the script.
There is zero atmosphere, it's super long for no reason, jumpy script, silly cheap scares, re-hashing of scenes from the original (I.e. Jump scene, lorry scene), it's just ridiculous, and truth be told- a shame. Halfway through I stopped caring, looking at 7* plus reviews on here, and realised they must be all fake.
This had the potential to be great, but didn't even come close to the original.
Massively disappointed. Save yourself the time.
