The movie from the begin to the end shows this toxic masculinity, the willing of men to prove a women wrong, their ego and over confidence can lead to difficult situation and causes self destruction. There are many red flags that the male characters of the movie shows which are offensive and downright cruel the female characters (won't go to the details and ruin it for you).

As a standalone horror movie, Barbarian is one of the best in recent times. The metaphysical representation of male dominance and the toxicity is icing on the cake.

Chup is a amazing thriller that the bollywood desperately need. More than a thriller, it's a phenomenal example of character study. Every actor has done justice to their roles but undeniable it is a all in all a Dulquer Salmaan show. The potraial of mental illness by Dilquer reminds me of 'Lars and the real girl' which is arguably the best projection of mental illness on the silver screen.

The ease at which Dilquer can shift from being super likable to a darker shade is treat to watch. Shreya Dhanwanthary, Sunny Deol and Pooja Bhatt are refreshing to see in their respective roles and there many occasions where Shreya shines at her best.

The only underwhelming part of the movie is the final execution which seems a bit fast compared to the slow burn tone that the movie has from the beginning.

It is movie you should definitely go for. The Salmaan (Dulquer) we need is finally here 😉.

Easily the best India romantic movie of the decade. The chemistry between Nani and Sai Pallavi is infectious. The body language of Nani as Shyam is so convincing, I forgot he is a non-Bengali playing the role. On the other hand, Sai Pallavi is delightful as usual with her strong acting and character adaptation.

Bollywood, take a pen-paper and note down how to create a refreshing romance. I repeat, note down, do not remake and ruin it.

Definately give it a try. The IMDb 7.7 is less for kind of a movie it is. The background music is the cherry on the cake. Every frame meaningful every emotion on spot and specially some really meaningful conversations which often get converted in 'songs' that never conveys the same message.
