Poor Richard Burton, forced to wear a ridiculous blonde rug and made up with a real eerie looking skin color (is that supposed to represent the sun?) Does this remind you of anyone?
His character is as absurd internally as the outward appearance. Given to temper tantrums, impulsive decisions, clearly suffering with a narcissistic personality disorder, can we believe he conquered the world? Does this remind you of anyone?

I've seen 5 or 6 productions of Twelfth Night on stage or screen and this is the best I've seen. The acting is superb. The language is delivered with such precise clarity that I believe that anyone watching with no prior knowledge of the play would understand everything that is going on. How often can you say that about a production of Shakespeare
