I didn't know what I was getting into when I tuned into The Butt-Ugly Martians on Nick. What a wonderful surprise. The show has an unique, 3D look and the characters are energetic, fun and had me laughing. I didn't care for the Earth kids as much, but what a wonderful funny man Muldoon is. The show is very carefully crafted on many levels, with interference from space as well as Earth. I liked it a lot, and it's far more interesting and less stupid than Invader Zim.
What a breath of fresh air this movie is. It has the wit of Frasier, the physical antics of a Jim Carey picture and the insight into characters that has a real bent outlook on life. It's dark, funny and full of life. It certainly should be on anyone's overlooked list.
