To put it simply, this movie is really good! Pokemon is so under rated, and always thought of as stupid by so many people. Why? cause it's projected towards kids, but these movies and cartoons are really good, and alot more complicated than meets the eye. that's one thing i love about em. Pokemon 2000 just proves that.
The animation of this movie is really cool, it's like the shows, but they're improved at the same time. A big step above the first pokemon movie I think. The plot is definately alot more in depth too. The disappointing thing about the first movie, is that mew and mewtwo fought, but it wasnt a battle we were expecting, so the action wasnt exactly what we hoped for. However in pokemon 2000, that's one thing i love, the action and adventure is great! Team Rocket and Ash even come to team up to help save the world which is a nice idea put in there. Seeing team rocket always doing the same thing does get a little redundant. My favorite part in the movie is when ash has to get across the ice with lugia protecting him to get the last sphere. I thought that whole scene was well made, and was just awesome to watch. The score of the movie makes it really good too. Very catchy, and intense score I think. No one would ever say that a pokemon movie is oscar worthy, but when it comes to just being enjoyable, and fun, pokemon 2000 is definately up there. I would hope that pokemon never died down if they kept delivering movies, and shows like this.

One of the best movies in my mind. I am an aspiring film maker, and I only wish that I could of come up with the brillant work that is this movie.
Originally, when I first saw it. I wasn't impressed, I was younger, stupid, and used to the original version of the "The Thing" A couple years later, I had gotten a dvd player, and when I had some money on me, I was looking to buy some dvds. Then John Carpenter's The Thing caught my eye. If you asked me why I bought this movie, i couldn't tell you why to this day, cause even though, it was the most expensive dvd, and if I had not bought it, I could have gotten 2 dvds for the same price. I went ahead and bought this movie. From then on watching it again, I realised things about it. Things I probably didnt understand when I was younger. Which is what makes this movie brillant, cause you have to think.
Sure, this movie has gore and everything like that, but that doesnt mean anything! Some people view that as a bad thing, but it's not. Not everything in life is sugar coated, and if there was a thing like that from outer space, Im sure it would be alot like that way from the movie. The gore isnt what I love about it though. One thing that makes John Carpenter great, is that I think alot like him. He uses alot of cheap thrills, and to me cheap thrills are the best thrills. I love the fact that the movie is built on paranoia. The scene where Fukes, is walking with a candle, and the dark figure runs by him, and he says "who's that!?" is just scary. It leaves alot open for the imagination from that point. You ask yourself "who was that?" and since it's dark, it makes you wonder what it looked like too. That's why to me, showing the thing is not as effective as when you dont. Carpenter did have alot of gore and showed alot in the movie, but when you think about it, there was alot he didn't show. That he left open for the imagination. And you weren't sure who was who. The dvd is great too, cause you get to hear the commentary by John Carpenter and Kurt Russell. Little suttle things that Carpenter did as a director is what makes this movie great. Just one shot in the movie, of Kurt Russell from behind is really effective...because it makes you wonder "is he being watched, or is he a thing?" In my eyes, it always seemed like he was being watched, and that to me is scary.

Ever since i saw it playing in movie theaters, i wanted to see this movie. I was too embarrassed though, cause it was another teen flick. ya know, sometimes it's not tbe best to been seen going to one, especially alone like i usually go. So just today, i saw this movie LOSER, at blockbuster for $3 used..watched it right away and...
really good movie! Jason Biggs, who you normally think of as getting it on with a pie, actually does a real good job in this movie i think. He's believeable to me at least. His character is so real, and you wanna like him too. but he is the "loser" of the movie, but it's only titled that way, i think the people that were treating him bad were the losers. plus, mena suvari...her own character has issues in the movie, and i'm glad her character finally released how much jason biggs' cared about her, and how much better they were for each other. This movie really kept me interested. It's a sweet and cute romance with some cute humor. It's partly drama i'd say though. cause it's emotional most of the way. I really recommended checking this movie out. However, if you're one of those people, that only looks for action, and knee-slapping humor, and doesn't like anything serious, then don't bother. but i happen to like that stuff =)
oh, and i think mena suvari looks really pretty with dark hair. she should stick with it. but obviously she isn't, but i wish she would
