I went into this movie blind without reading reviews and only saw maybe two movie trailers. Within 20 minutes, I said to myself "this movie has a similar vibe to The Northman." Well behold, it's the same Director. And both movies are absolutely trash! Robert Eggers needs to start rethinking the way he makes movies. Lily Rose-Depp.... I have never seen her in anything else.....she was the worst part. Terrible actress. Definitely got zero acting chops from her dad. The premise and idea had massive potential which was severely wasted. Do yourself a favor, watch the trailers only and leave it at that.

Just finished the first season. I get the concept. Two world views. One a sitcom in the eyes of the husband, laugh track and all. The second view is the real view in the eyes of everyone else. I found the sitcom bits to be long in the tooth, so much so that I started fast forwarding those parts. The scenes became pretty pointless near the end of the season and almost unbearable to watch. The characters in the sitcom started to annoy the "you know what" outta me. However, the view of everyone else especially the wife and Patty is the real winner in this series. I found those parts interesting and fun to watch. I wish it had been more of that and less of the sitcom. I am giving the sitcom parts a 2/10 and the rest of the parts an 8/10.
