What's the Only Thing Worse Than Watching Kyle Mooney on SNL?

We guess it is supposed to be a bit of a coming of age film set on New Year's Even 1999, but that backdrop didn't really matter because of the boredom of everything else. Julian Dennison is such a cool actor, and he excelled in the Wilderpeople (go stream it immediately), but he's a bit lost in here thanks to SNL sketch alum Kyle Mooney thinking this feature length films is one of his unfunny SNL shorts. The bloody scenes for the horror effects were really silly and we didn't relate that these were supposed to be high school kids (they acted too much like adults). So for us this is a no go, but at least we weren't surprised once we saw who the director was.
