This is a bit of a horror film where William Shatner is a conman and killer. This is before they worked out all the kinks of slasher movies so this one does not quite work. Shatner hated this movie, apparently, but I did not find it quite that bad. Honestly, his acting in the original Star Trek show was worse and the story here had its moments. The story had some bad parts too at the beginning as it needed to play out for me to figure out a couple of things.
The story starts as a kid kills his mom's boyfriend or client. Flash years later and the kid is Shatner and he is cheating on a wealthy woman he is conning. Only she finds out and he kills her. He seems a bit conflicted about killing her, but you find out he is not too conflicted. We then meet a mom and her creepy daughter who just stands in front of Shatner's car to get a ride. This confused me because I was thinking she already knew Shatner, but no, and at this point the kid seems more crazy! That is until Shatner puts the moves on the girl's mother and is trying to scam the mom's friend. Then Karate Pete enters the picture and how Shatner handles him lets us know that he is more crazy than the daughter who just has to leave hiding spots early!
William Shatner acts in his usual hammy way, but considering the character he is playing it works. The friend of the mom i gave seen before in Day of the Animals and Karate Pete is Oddjob from Goldfinger. Not sure why they made him Karate Pete as he is more of a brute. I did not recognize mother or daughter but they do pretty good.
So, I feel the film suffers from story logic more than acting. I mean, the daughter does some crazy stuff, William Shatner's character seems not to mean killing at first then is setting deadly traps. It really does not have the atmosphere of a good horror either, but even with all that said, it was still a bit entertaining.

This is a cheese fest of epic proportions as we get a Star Wars ripoff film featuring Kiel who was top billed! For this reason alone I will not be too hard on the movie as he was a really nice guy in real life and it is nice he was the star. Some aspects of this film are nothing like Star Wars, but one cannot ignore the many blatant thefts of the superior film as we get a bad guy in a dark helmet, obvious land speeders and light arrows instead of sabers, but we get to see Kiel throw people around too! So while not a good movie by any means, it was a funny watch.
The story has the forces of evil on a mission to get an object and also kill Barbara Gibson! Normally, I am horrible at character names, but Barbara Gibson's name comes up a lot. It is even written on her desk. She is spared thanks to an Asian boy who is the Luke Skywalker of the piece. Meanwhile, jovial Richard Kiel is transformed into the Humanoid and begins to attack before he becomes good again and then Barbara Bach is in this thing and a robot dog! So this thing is pretty crazy and while bad, it is a fun watch!
It is nice that Kiel gets to act like himself during this thing at times. He gets to talk, unlike most fms he is in and i always lime his deep voice. I was so surprised Barbara Bach was in this. I thought the queen or whatever looked like her, but I did not think she would appear in something like this as such a pointless character. Barbara Gibson is also played by a Bond girl...being a Bond girl really was not a ticket to success, was it?
So, fun bad movie that borrows a bit from Star Wars. Okay, it steals a whole lot! However, seeing Kiel in the lead role makes it all okay in my book. So you get cheap sets, people being tossed around and a robot dog that sounds like it is saying "bathroom" all the time so you know it is going to be a fun watch!

I have watched numerous awful films during my life thanks to a strange love affair with bad movies fostered by Mystery Science Theater 3000 and now Rifftrax. One thing I have to say about this film right off the bat, is that it was really entertaining. Very bad to be sure, but it had me laughing. It also may have been edited awfully, but it looks like a movie.
The story has a drug bust gone wrong and two cops get set up by there boss whose name I thought was Norman, but was actually Norbad or something. Not important as we follow this guys as one reunites with the love of his life then serenades her with an awful song! A satanic cult enters the picture and soon we have a revenge...well after a lot of horrible songs.
The cast has a guy, Hart who literally made thus film, kind of like the guy who did Dangerous Men. Wings Hauser is in this, feel kind of bad for him as he at times chews the scenery and at other times looks bored. The cult leader/officer/judge sounds like his voice is lined with gravel. It literally sounds like it hurts for him to speak, thank goodness he did not have a song.
So it was a fun watch and really bad film. Lots of boob shots and lots of champagne. Not as many bullets as the title might imply. Take the horrible songs out and it may be a better film, but would probably reduce the comedy value. The guy who made this obviously had a high opinion of himself and thanks to that we got this!
